Network Security Engineer (SOC)

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Security Engineer to join a department to assist with protecting critical systems and ensuring the security of network infrastructure. </p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key Responsibilities: </h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Playing a key role in safeguarding the organisations network infrastructure  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working with the SOC team on incident response and triage activity  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Designing and implementing robust security solutions to protect against threats </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Collaborating with cross functional teams, implementing changes securely  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Identifying vulnerabilities and managing security incidents  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring compliance with industry best practices  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ideal candidate would have: </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Understanding of cyber security capabilities  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Existing knowledge of Darktrace Antigena and Respond  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong ability to interpret complex information via use of packet capture  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Proven ability to review SOC alerting  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ideal candidate must have: </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching and VLANs </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls e.g. Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hands on experience in next-gen firewalls and advancing security features </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience in managing secure proxy solutions </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Understanding of network architectures and security zones </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">In depth knowledge of security protocols  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Proficient in monitoring technologies  </p>
