HGV Class 2 driver

Working days: Support may be required across all seven days, including weekends

Romax Recruitment is looking to register reliable Class 2 HGV drivers for upcoming opportunities supporting Bidfood's Worthing operation. There is a potential requirement for 5–10 drivers, primarily covering hub collections.

Support requirements are expected to be confirmed with one week's notice.

• Complete hub collections and associated Class 2 driving duties safely and efficiently.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.

• Complete collection and delivery paperwork accurately.

• Comply with drivers' hours, working time and tachograph requirements.

• Follow site procedures and safe working practices, ensuring loads are secure before departure.

• Assist with loading when required; vehicles are generally preloaded, although occasional loading may be necessary.

• Work professionally with transport teams, warehouse staff and customers.

• A valid driving licence with Category C entitlement for Class 2 vehicles.

• A valid Driver CPC qualification and Driver Qualification Card.

• A valid digital tachograph driver card.

• Normally at least one year holding the relevant licence; experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Generally no more than six licence points. Drivers with additional points may be considered, subject to review and more frequent licence checks.

• A sound understanding of drivers' hours, tachograph rules and vehicle safety checks.
