Health And Safety Officer - Electrical & Solar Pv

Fitzgerald Energy Solutions is seeking a proactive Safety Officer to support our growing electrical and solar PV business.

Based in Ennis, with regular travel to project sites, you will work closely with management, supervisors, installation crews and subcontractors to maintain safe working practices across domestic, commercial and agricultural projects.

Your responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections and safety audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements and safety documentation.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and practical safety training.
• Monitor working at height, roof access, electrical safety, lifting operations and PPE.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify causes and implement improvements.
• Maintain training records and monitor employee and subcontractor safety requirements.
• Support compliance with applicable health and safety legislation and client requirements.
• Promote a culture where everyone takes responsibility for working safely.

What we’re looking for

• A recognised qualification in occupational health and safety.
• Relevant experience in construction, electrical contracting or renewable energy.
• A strong understanding of site safety, particularly working at height and electrical risks.
• Confidence to address unsafe practices and follow issues through to resolution.
• Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• A full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Experience in solar PV installation would be an advantage.

Pay: Up to €65,000.00 per year
