HV Technician
Role Description & Technical Scope
Our client is seeking an HV Technician to join its permanent Energy Transmission and Distribution team as an HV Technician. This UK-wide role will involve electrical installation, maintenance and operational support across high-voltage infrastructure, including 11kV, 33kV and 132kV systems, as well as utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing activities across energy and T&D projects
Working safely on 11kV, 33kV and 132kV electrical systems
Supporting construction and operations and maintenance activities on utility-scale Solar PV and BESS systems
Interpreting electrical drawings, technical documentation and project specifications
Identifying faults and completing effective diagnostic and remedial work
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and industry standards
Collaborating with project teams, site personnel and clients across locations throughout the UK

Requirements
Approved Electrician status with suitable electrical installation or electrical engineering qualifications
18th Edition, Test & inspect, Level 3 in Electrical Installation
SHEA Power
Experience working with HV systems (11kv/33kv)
Experience in utility-scale Solar PV construction or operations and maintenance
Understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and associated electrical infrastructure
Strong knowledge of electrical health and safety procedures
Ability to work across UK-wide sites and travel as required
Reliable, methodical and committed to delivering high-quality electrical work
