Cloud Security Lead Engineer

In this role you will lead the Asset Inventory engineering within Klarna’s Cloud Security Posture Management efforts, delivering full-stack services to catalog cloud assets, ownership, dependencies, and risk. You’ll translate security and compliance requirements into usable product features for cross-functional teams, and shape remediation workflows to improve Klarna’s security posture. You’ll collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and platform teams to set priorities and communicate risks to stakeholders. This position offers hands-on ownership in a security-forward, privacy-conscious fintech environment with impact across the cloud landscape.

• Design, build, and run full-stack services for collecting and serving cloud asset data (ownership, dependencies, risk)
• Turn security/compliance requirements into user-facing product features
• Develop prioritization and remediation workflows and measure impact on security posture
• Develop expertise in security/compliance rules and guide their implementation across systems
• Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and platform teams to align priorities and delivery
• Explain technical risks and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Produced and operated production software
• Strong AWS experience reviewing microservice architectures for security vulnerabilities
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, asset inventories, or resource dependency mapping
• Security-first mindset with ability to measure and communicate risk
• Built scalable full-stack web applications
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders (engineering, security, compliance)
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Terraform or ability to learn quickly
