Location: Aston, Birmingham

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm ( 30 mins lunch ) and Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm ( 30 mins lunch )

Salary: up to £29,000 per annum

Benefits include: 25 days’ holiday, company pension following the qualifying period and free on-site parking.

Groomfield Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join their established team in Aston.

The ideal candidate will have a stable work history and previous experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally using an ERP/MRP system. You will need excellent attention to detail, strong Excel skills and a confident telephone manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising and managing purchase orders
• Monitoring stock and demand across 17,000+ SKUs
• Chasing suppliers and managing delivery information
• Checking order acknowledgements
• Sourcing alternative products
• Supporting supplier performance and general administration
• Manage the placement of Purchase orders through interpretation of stock and demand.

About You

• Purchasing/procurement experience
• ERP/MRP experience desirable
• Good Excel and IT skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Positive, analytical and solutions-focused
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping

This is initially a fully office-based role, with potential for hybrid working once you are fully trained and established within the team.
