Senior Content and Social Media Producer

In this role you lead the planning, creation and commissioning of digital content and campaigns that advance Wellcome's health, science and research priorities. You translate complex topics into accessible storytelling and develop audience-focused content across channels. You drive audience engagement, use analytics to optimise impact, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners. This position strengthens Wellcome’s digital communications capability and contributes to global health outcomes.

• Lead planning, creation and commissioning of digital content and campaigns aligned with strategic priorities.
• Translate complex scientific and policy topics into accessible, audience-centred storytelling.
• Produce assets (video, photography, animation, infographics) with internal teams and external partners.
• Develop content distribution and engagement strategies across paid, owned and partner channels.
• Utilise audience insights and performance data to optimise content and inform future activity.
• Champion best practices in digital content, social media and storytelling across the organisation.
• Manage relationships with agencies, freelancers, creators and external production partners.
• Collaborate across departments to foster an inclusive, diverse culture.

• Significant experience in digital content planning, production and publishing within a complex organisation.
• Experience commissioning and managing external agencies, creators or production partners.
• Strong editorial judgement and storytelling skills with digital and social content experience.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver multi-channel digital campaigns with distribution and engagement strategies.
• Experience with content management systems and social platforms, using analytics to guide decisions.
