Buyside Pre Sales Engineer (OMS), Enterprise Sales - Financial Solutions

As a Buyside Pre-Sales Engineer, you partner with Enterprise Sales to design and present client-specific OMS solutions for buyside workflows. You act as a strategic advisor, translating business needs into tailored demos and proof-of-concepts that drive revenue and product adoption. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape target operating models and ensure seamless handover to implementation. This role sits at the intersection of sales, product, and implementation, influencing how Bloomberg’s tools empower investment professionals.

• Collaborate with Sales to pursue targets by deep diving into client objectives and operations
• Lead discovery sessions and deliver tailored demonstrations and proofs-of-concepts
• Provide consultative solution framing, articulating fit and value
• Relay market insights and product feedback to Product and Sales teams
• Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with cross-functional coordination
• Maintain strong knowledge of Bloomberg products, buyside models, and competitive landscape
• Partner with Implementation, Enterprise Tech, and Product to design target operating models
• Ensure smooth sales-to-implementation handovers and knowledge transfer

• Client-facing experience in Financial Services or FinTech in the last 5 years
• 4+ years in pre-sales, project management, specialist relationship management or solutions architecture with technology products
• Understanding of buyside workflow from research to post-trade and integration
• Ability to gather detailed client requirements and develop product demos via workshops
• Ability to spot trends, build credibility with clients, and understand their business workflows
