We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team.

Salary and Shift Pattern

• Average annual salary: £54,500
• Shift pattern: 5 days on, 2 days off, followed by 5 days on, 1 day off, on a repeating rotation.
• Job type: Full-time
• Licence required: HGV Class 1 (Category C+E)
• Experience required: Minimum of 1 year of professional HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Transport goods efficiently and complete deliveries within scheduled timeframes.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
• Comply with drivers’ hours regulations, tachograph

requirements and the Working Time Directive.

• Complete delivery documentation and proof of delivery accurately.
• Follow route instructions and comply with site-specific health and safety procedures.
• Carry out trailer coupling and uncoupling safely.
• Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers, colleagues and site personnel.
• Ensure the vehicle is operated safely and responsibly at all times.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
• At least 1 year of professional HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid digital tachograph card.
• A good understanding of drivers’ hours regulations and road transport legislation.
• A strong commitment to health, safety and legal compliance.
• Good timekeeping, reliability and a responsible approach to work.
• The ability to work the advertised rotating shift pattern.
