Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Platform Security Architect (Advisory) - Manager - National Security

As a Manager in KPMG’s Defence Consulting-aligned Cloud practice, you will lead security architectures for hybrid cloud platforms, enabling secure, compliant migrations and transformations. You’ll translate client objectives into roadmaps, guide senior stakeholders, and shape secure cloud strategies across complex estates. This role combines hands-on security design with advisory leadership to unlock value for national security clients. Expect multi-disciplinary collaboration and visible impact on large-scale cloud initiatives.

• Provide credible thought leadership based on real-world experience
• Design cloud/technology roadmaps, implementation strategies, and high-level architectures
• Offer impartial assessments of cloud strategy and vendor technology proposals
• Provide comprehensive insights across integration and hybrid hosting scenarios
• Contribute to the growth of Cloud and Defence Consulting practices
• Collaborate with colleagues to maximise knowledge sharing and reuse
• Develop strong client relationships to identify commercial opportunities for KPMG
• Be on-site with clients as required and travel within the UK

• Proven experience delivering complex large-scale security solutions on cloud (GCP) or hybrid environments
• Strong knowledge of security approaches, technologies, and operating models across major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Understanding of IdAM concepts and zero-trust principles
• Experience with security testing and security auditing
• Familiarity with IT operating models including DevOps and secure practices
• Ability to manage security aspects of cloud strategy reviews, roadmaps, data models, and migrations
• Recognised industry qualifications relevant to the role (ideally)
• Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite and senior client technologists
• Priori experience in shaping and delivering technology-enabled change for security and efficiency
