• Design of new stamping dies and tooling for technical components.
• Modification and optimization of existing dies and tooling .
• Tool try-out and commissioning in the production area, ensuring that manufactured parts meet customer quality requirements.
• Design of gauges and checking fixtures for production control.
• Failure analysis and continuous improvement of existing tooling to reduce breakdowns and production-line rejects .
• Development and management of spare-parts inventories and stock levels according to the BOM (Bill of Materials) .
• Definition of preventive and corrective maintenance requirements for stamping dies.
• Definition of design standards for new tooling .
• Management of tooling projects from initial concept through final validation, meeting safety, quality, cost and timing targets , including coordination of external suppliers.
• Technical support for new part projects from a stamping and tooling perspective , including support during quotation and design phases, as well as cost and lead-time estimation.
• Representation of Stamping and Tooling Engineering in internal cross-functional teams and in technical discussions with customers.
• Participation in international project teams .
• Provide technical support to toolmakers in resolving production-line issues and during workshop maintenance activities.
• Follow up on and promote continuous improvement ideas proposed by the team.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field .
• Knowledge of strip materials and strip layout design , including optimization to minimize material waste.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming processes , including bending, cutting, deep drawing and flanging.
• Knowledge of forming sequence design .
• Experience in designing new stamping dies and tooling for manual, transfer and progressive stamping processes.
• Experience in strip layout development , including part positioning and material optimization.
• Knowledge of tooling manufacturing processes and materials , including heat treatments.
• Strong understanding of technical and theoretical interdependencies .
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings .
• Ability to identify appropriate part-handling solutions , considering part geometry, weight and dimensions.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving and priority management .
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills .
