Salary: £40,000 per annum

Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas

Coverage: South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol

Employment: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

The Opportunity

PYRA Construction Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a fire and security company for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its growing team.

This is an active, hands-on engineering role suited to someone confident carrying out installations, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems.

The successful candidate will work across commercial client sites throughout South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol.

Offering a salary of £40,000 per annum and a permanent opportunity,

this is an excellent position for an engineer looking for long-term stability and varied site-based work.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems.

Carry out installation and maintenance of CCTV systems.

Work on access control and intruder alarm systems.

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.

Test systems and ensure they operate correctly.

Complete service reports, job sheets and site documentation.

Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and health and safety

requirements.

Maintain professional relationships with clients and site teams.

Travel between sites across the designated region.

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer.

Practical experience with fire alarms and security systems.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage site-based tasks.

Full UK driving licence.

Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach.

Flexibility to travel across South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol.

Available to start immediately or at short notice.
