Ideally based around Edinburgh or the surrounding area, you’ll cover the Central Belt including Glasgow, with some wider travel across Scotland depending on customer</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a varied field-based role covering service, maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, small works and installation across a broad range of Fire & Security systems. You’ll need to be confident working independently, dealing directly with customers and diagnosing faults across different types of equipment. You don’t need experience of every manufacturer or system, but you should have a strong all-round Fire & Security background and a willingness to continue developing your technical skills.</p>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, small works and installations.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Diagnose faults across fire alarms, CCTV, intruder, access control and door entry systems.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Complete remedial works and system upgrades where required.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Liaise directly with customers and provide clear advice on faults, repairs and recommended works.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Previous field engineering experience within the Fire & Security sector.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Strong service, maintenance and fault-finding skills.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Experience with fire alarms alongside CCTV, intruder, access control and/or door entry systems.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Familiarity with a range of commonly used Fire & Security systems and manufacturers.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Experience with IP and analogue CCTV systems would be beneficial.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Gates and barriers experience would be advantageous but is not essential.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Good customer-facing and communication skills.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Full UK driving licence.</span></li>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role offers a basic rate of £22–£24 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5x for evenings and 2x for late and weekend working. The on-call rota is approximately 1 in 12, with a £250 call-out payment plus hours worked.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You’ll also receive a company van and fuel, tools and equipment, laptop and mobile phone, alongside BUPA healthcare, pension and 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays. There is also ongoing technical training and good scope for longer-term progression as the team continues to grow.</p>
