AML & Financial Crime Compliance Officer

A global bank with a growing EMEA platform is hiring an AML & Financial Crime specialist to join its Brussels compliance team. You'll report to the Deputy MLRO and act as a go-to contact for financial crime matters across the business.

What you'll do

• Advise Front Office and support teams on financial crime risk across clients, transactions, suppliers and hospitality
• Review customer risk at KYC onboarding and periodic review
• Investigate potential breaches and support reporting and remediation
• Assess the impact of new regulation and contribute to regulatory change projects
• Support financial crime risk assessments, policy writing and the compliance action plan
• Follow up on findings from regulators and internal and external auditors
• Help design and deliver AML/CTF training
• Prepare MI and reports for internal committees

What you'll bring

• Solid knowledge of banking products and financial markets
• Strong grasp of AML, CTF and sanctions regulatory frameworks
• Experience in a CDD/KYC team at a financial institution is a plus
• Clear communication skills, able to explain complex issues at all levels
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and risk awareness
• Able to manage competing priorities under pressure
