<p class="text-muted mb-3">We're working with an organisation investing heavily in its technology estate and looking for an experienced Operations & Security Engineer to play a key role in modernising infrastructure, strengthening security and delivering technical change across a Microsoft environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This isn't a BAU support position. It's a hands-on project-focused role where you'll take ownership of technical workstreams, deliver infrastructure improvements and help shape a secure, resilient platform that supports the wider business.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working as part of a small, collaborative internal technology team, you'll have the autonomy to make technical decisions, influence best practice and see your work make a genuine impact.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">What you'll be doing</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You'll split your time across infrastructure (around 60%) and security (40%), delivering projects that improve resilience, performance and cyber security.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Your responsibilities will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Leading infrastructure implementation and improvement projects.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Managing and enhancing Microsoft Azure and on-premise infrastructure.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Administering Active Directory, Group Policy and virtualised environments.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Driving server lifecycle management and platform optimisation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Delivering security improvements including Active Directory reviews and Group Policy hardening.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting Cyber Essentials compliance and embedding security best practice.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Identifying opportunities to optimise Azure consumption and reduce cloud costs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Producing high-quality technical documentation and following ITIL-aligned processes.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting occasional out-of-hours releases and joining a future on-call rota.What we're looking for</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership and can confidently deliver technical solutions with minimal supervision.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You'll ideally bring experience across:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Microsoft infrastructure technologies.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Microsoft Azure.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Active Directory and Group Policy.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">VMware/vSphere.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Server lifecycle management.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Infrastructure implementation and project delivery.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">ITIL environments.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Cyber Essentials and infrastructure security improvements.Experience with the following would be advantageous:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Microsoft Intune.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">PowerShell scripting and automation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Azure cost optimisation, Reserved Instances and resource governance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">NIST or ISO security frameworks.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Microsoft technical certifications.The person</p>
