Material Planner / Buyer

Escape Recruitment is looking for a proactive Materials Planner / Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business investing in a new production facility.

Working as part of a great Supply Chain team,

you will play an important role in ensuring materials are available to meet production

requirements.

This is a hands-on role covering purchasing, supplier expediting and materials planning, with a focus on keeping orders on track and production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

Raising purchase orders and ensuring materials are ordered on time.

Chasing suppliers and expediting deliveries to avoid production delays.

Monitoring stock levels, material availability and outstanding orders.

Resolving supplier issues and keeping MRP/ERP system data accurate.

Working closely with Production, Planning and suppliers to meet business

requirements.

Supporting inventory control and identifying potential supply issues.Knowledge and experience required for the role:

Experience in purchasing, materials planning or a similar supply chain role, ideally within manufacturing - other industries will be considered.

Confident raising POs, chasing deliveries and dealing with suppliers.

Familiar with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.

A good communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach.Why Apply?
