Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter

Assemble and test products to engineering drawings and specifications

Maintain quality standards and follow all Health & Safety procedures

Support team members and assist with training where required

Identify and escalate faults or non-conformance issues

Complete documentation, production records and stock control

Maintain 6S standards and contribute to continuous improvementWhat's in it for you as a Mechanical Fitter:

Staggered day shift, starting between 06:00 and 07:30, with a fixed start time once agreed

Clean, well-organised workshop with modern equipmentThe Mechanical Fitter we're looking for will have:

Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline

Background in machine build or OEM machinery assembly

Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently

Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitudeThe site is based in Leeds and is easily accessible from Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield and surrounding areas.
