Metal Fabricator

We are looking for a Ductwork/Metal Fabricator for a specialist manufacturer of bespoke commercial kitchen air control systems.

The business works closely with its clients to help specify and design systems tailored to individual kitchen

requirements. Based at its factory in Bury, you will fabricate kitchen extraction canopies and ductwork, turning bespoke designs into high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate bespoke kitchen canopies, ductwork and associated sheet metal components.

Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions and fabrication specifications.

Measure, mark out, cut, fold and assemble sheet metal accurately.

Operate workshop machinery and fabrication tools safely.

Produce joints, seams and fixings to the required specification.

Check finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality.

Liaise with the design and production teams to clarify

requirements and resolve fabrication queries.

Work to production schedules and maintain a clean, safe workshop.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication, ideally manufacturing ductwork or commercial kitchen canopies.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and fabricate bespoke products to specification.

Confidence using sheet metal machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and contribute to a busy factory team.

A reliable approach and good awareness of workshop safety.

Experience working with stainless steel and galvanised sheet metal would be beneficial. Welding experience relevant to kitchen canopy fabrication would also be an advantage
