Platform Security Engineer

Platform Security Engineer – Remote (EU) - $200,000 to $240,000 plus equity.

We're working with a company that's a ship fast mentality and is looking for a shift left persona, replacing decades-old infrastructure with a modern, API-first platform that's growing ridiculously fast.

This isn't a governance-heavy role.

It isn't death by meetings or bureaucracy at every turn.

It's about writing code, securing cloud infrastructure and making it easier for engineers to build securely from day one. Their engineers ship daily and don't get lost in the weeds of problems for too long.

The stack?

• AWS Serverless all day, every day
• TypeScript
• AWS CDK
• Lambda
• API Gateway
• DynamoDB

You'll own everything from cloud security and secure developer tooling through to IAM, application security, compliance automation and improving the overall security posture of the platform.

They're looking for engineers first.

If you've moved from software or platform engineering into security, you'll be exactly the kind of profile they're interested in. You'll be comfortable working in AWS, enjoy Infrastructure as Code and prefer solving problems with automation rather than adding more process.

You'll probably have:

• Strong AWS experience
• TypeScript
• IaC (CDK, Terraform or similar)
• Serverless architecture experience
• A solid understanding of modern cloud security

This is a genuinely high-impact role in a small, experienced engineering team. You'll have ownership from day one and plenty of freedom to influence how security is done across the business.
