Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and motivated Unqualified Teachers to work in schools across the Southampton area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working with children or young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience and take the next step within education.

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will lead classes, deliver pre‑planned lessons, support pupil progress, and help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment. We work with a range of primary schools, secondary schools, and specialist SEN provisions, offering varied opportunities to suit different backgrounds and career goals.

This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, tutors, coaches, youth workers, graduates, and aspiring teachers looking to develop their classroom skills.

The Role:

Deliver pre‑planned lessons and learning activities

Lead classes independently and maintain a positive learning environment

Support pupils to engage with learning and achieve lesson objectives

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently

Adapt activities and support to meet a range of learning needs

Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to school staff

Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

Follow safeguarding and school policies consistentlyIdeal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Coach, or similar role desirable

Confident managing groups of pupils independently

Strong communication and classroom leadership skills

Adaptable, resilient, and proactive approach

Passionate about supporting young people and education

Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Working Pattern: Full‑time

Pay Rate: Up to £130 per dayExperience, Training & Safeguarding:

Previous classroom experience desirable

Experience working with children or young people essential
