Cleaning Supervisor

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

We're looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead and develop a cleaning team while maintaining excellent service standards for one of our customers.

You will oversee the delivery of routine, planned and periodic cleaning services, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed task schedules.

The Cleaning Supervisor, will be responsible for:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the cleaning team, ensuring staff understand and work in accordance with their task schedules.
• Support the recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of cleaning colleagues.
• Monitor cleaning standards and ensure all work complies with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures, rules and guidelines.

• Provide technical training when required and ensure the correct health and safety procedures are followed.
• Distribute uniforms, monitor the use of cleaning materials, maintain appropriate stock levels and order supplies when required.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally, referring matters to the line manager where appropriate.

To be successful for this Cleaning Supervisor role you must have:

• Previous experience of supervising or leading a cleaning team.
• Practical experience of delivering cleaning services within a professional working environment.
• Good communication and people-management skills, with the ability to support and develop colleagues.
• The ability to work to schedules, prioritise responsibilities and use your own initiative.
• An understanding of health and safety

requirements, with experience of EHS and GMP procedures being advantageous.
