Commercial Insurance Broker

Are you working within SME or Commercial Broking looking for a fresh challenge within an independent broker? We are partnered with a growing insurance broker who is looking to recruit an Account Broker to join its expanding Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial insurance professional to join a business that is investing in its regional presence and offers long-term career development. The role will focus on the broking and servicing of an existing commercial insurance portfolio, covering a broad range of SME and small commercial risks. Working closely with Account Executives, you will take information gathered from clients and place the business into the market, negotiating with insurers to secure appropriate cover and competitive terms. This is a predominantly technical broking position, with no requirement to generate new business or undertake the main client advisory responsibilities. You will report to the Senior Account Manager and work alongside experienced colleagues who can provide support, guidance and training. The business is looking for someone who is confident using Acturis, capable of working independently and keen to develop their broking expertise as the Bristol office continues to grow.

Previous experience in commercial insurance broking is essential, ideally across a broad range of SME and commercial risks. Candidates should hold their Cert CII qualification or be willing to achieve it within their first 12 months. The company actively supports professional development, covering the cost of Cert CII, Diploma and ACII qualifications.
