St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our aspirational learning community. The role

Reporting to the Learning Division Leader (Ignite), you will plan and deliver stimulating Music lessons that challenge students, build their skills and encourage a lasting interest in the subject.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning engaging lessons in line with the curriculum and subject schemes of work.

Setting ambitious learning targets based on students’ prior attainment and individual needs.

Assessing, recording and reporting on students’ progress, providing feedback that supports improvement.

Creating a purposeful, inclusive classroom with high expectations for behaviour and participation.

Working with colleagues and the Inclusion Team to support students who need additional help and stretch those ready for further challenge.

Contributing to extracurricular activities and the pastoral, cultural and House life of the College.

Reflecting on your teaching and participating in professional development.

About you

We are looking for a well-qualified graduate with a strong track record of classroom teaching and the ability to teach Music confidently through to A Level.
