Sandon, Staffordshire | £37,000–£45,000 DOE | Monday–Friday 9am to 5pm

Are you an experienced children's residential Deputy Manager looking for something a little different from the standard three-bed home?

We're recruiting for a three-bed EBD children's home based within an impressive Grade II listed property in Sandon, surrounded by acres of land and providing young people with a spacious, homely environment in which to thrive.

This is an opportunity to join a growing children's residential provider with an expanding portfolio across Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

The Role

Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the home, supporting the staff team and ensuring consistently high standards of care.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home

• Leading, supporting and developing the residential team

• Maintaining strong safeguarding and child-centred practice

• Supporting care planning, risk assessments and behaviour management

• Ensuring the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards

• Supporting staff supervision, development and performance

• Maintaining accurate records and high standards of compliance

• Supporting positive outcomes for the young people

• Participating in the management on-call rota

What We're Looking For

You'll need:

• Experience within children's residential care

• Previous Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or strong senior leadership experience

• Good knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements

• Confidence leading and developing staff

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A child-focused approach and genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes

• Relevant residential childcare qualification xwwtmva
