Principal Water Network Modeller
Role Description & Technical Scope
In this role, you lead the delivery of high‑impact water network modelling projects within a leading UK water consultancy. You guide the development and review of hydraulic models to support optimisation, leakage reduction, pressure management and long‑term investment planning. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and help advance digital modelling approaches while expanding client relationships. This role offers influence over national water frameworks and the chance to shape resilient, sustainable networks.

- Lead delivery of complex water network modelling projects across major UK water frameworks
- Develop and review hydraulic models using InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent
- Deliver studies on network optimisation, leakage reduction, pressure management, resilience and investment planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, PMs and clients to ensure robust, sustainable solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and modellers
- Support project planning, governance and development of digital modelling approaches
- Contribute to business development and strengthen client relationships in the Water business
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related discipline
- Extensive experience delivering water network modelling projects
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard modelling software (InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent)
- Experience leading technical delivery across complex modelling programmes
- Strong understanding of network optimisation, leakage management and pressure management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
