Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join their reputable dealership in Gateshead. The Vehicle Technician position offers a stable career within a busy workshop, providing opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth.

Benefits:

Competitive basic salary up to £38,000, dependent on experience

OTE of approximately £52,480, including productivity and bonus schemes

Ongoing manufacturer training, including hybrid and electric vehicle programmes

40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays

Modern workshop equipped with the latest technologyDuties:

Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and diagnostics on Ford Commercial Vehicles

Perform servicing, inspections, and repairs to manufacturer standards

Fit accessories and additional customer-requested modifications

Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles

Identify and report any additional work during inspections

Ensure all warranty repairs and aftersales work adhere to manufacturer guidelines

Road test vehicles to verify fault rectification

Complete all relevant documentation accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

Full UK driving licence

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle repair

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a dealership or independent garage

Strong diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems

Self-motivated with a focus on delivering quality workmanship
