Export Administrator – Freight & Customs

Full-time | Freight Forwarding | Location: Purfleet, Essex

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm | Monday to Friday

Additional: 28 days holiday, 50% employer contribution to Private Healthcare

The Role

We are recruiting an Export Administrator to join an international freight forwarder at their site in Purfleet.

You will be part of a hard-working and well-respected team that are focused on providing a high-quality service.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within export freight administration and while only a small element to the role, must have experience in customs entries.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the freight team with completing export documentation
• Dealing with Airway Bills and House Airway Bills (AWB & HAWB
• Invoicing
• Carry out export customs entries
• Support with customer communication, including the supply of quotations to both new and existing clients
• Liaising with customers and overseas agents as and when required
• General admin tasks

About You

Essential

• 1-2 years’ experience in export administration
• Be able to carry out customs entries

Desirable

• Experience with AWB / HAWB (Airway Bills & House Airway Bills)
