Application Security Engineer

As an Application Security Engineer, you will collaborate with our global Technology teams to implement essential security controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

In this dynamic role, you'll be the go-to expert for your partners, adapting to the diverse needs of our globally dispersed development teams. From consulting on time-sensitive features to facilitating threat models for new products, no two days will be the same!

We believe that security is everyone's responsibility. You'll play a crucial role in educating and raising awareness among our partners, driving positive change, and enhancing security across all our products and services.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Translate security principles into actionable requirements and controls across Just Eat Takeaway.com's platforms.
• Lead security reviews of varying scale, including threat modeling, design reviews, and code reviews to enhance application security.
• Assess vulnerabilities in AI-enabled applications and leverage AI tools to improve security analysis and developer enablement.
• Champion security with developers, communicating effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders while also working independently.

What Will You Bring to the Team?

• Experience defining security controls for complex environments, regardless of the underlying platform or technology.
• In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and how to design appropriate security controls.
• Experience with Secure Coding Tools (SCA, SAST & Secrets).
• Ability to identify and address vulnerabilities throughout the SDLC, switching between defensive and offensive mindsets.
• Experience securing AI-enabled applications and assessing common AI/LLM vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder management experience.
• A passion for guiding and developing engineers on best practices.
• A commitment to continuous learning and identifying opportunities to enhance your security knowledge.
